Cream Cheese Cresent Roll Bars


2 - Pillsbury® Refrigerated Reduced Fat Crescent Dinner Rolls 8 oz (8 ct)
1 Package  cream cheese, softened (8oz.)
  1 cup sugar, plus 1 teaspon
1 teaspoon vanilla
strawberry jam
6 oz melted chocolate chips
2 tablespoons melted butter 
tablespoons melted butter 
*** Optional topping *** skip the melted butter and sugar mixture and wait until bars cool and then use a confectioner's sugar glaze like the one in the picture*** I like this option best!! 
  • 1 Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 Unroll 1 can of the crescent rolls and place into a 9x13 pan, smoothing out the seams.
  • 3 Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla with electric mixer until blended well.
  • 4 Spread cream cheese mixture on top of crescent rolls. Then spread strawberry jam on top of the cream cheese layer
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over the strawberry jam. 
  • 5 Unroll 2nd can of crescent rolls and place on top of cream cheese mixture, pinch together the seems.
  • 6 Brush top with melted butter.
  • 7 Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon sugar and 2 teaspoons cinammon.(this step is optional and you can substitute brown sugar for white sugar - makes it even better)
  • 8 Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
  • 9 Cut into bars and serve.
