Granny’s Classic Gingerbread
1/2 cup oleo or butter
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup molasses
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix butter, buttermilk, molasses and
eggs together until creamy. Add remaining ingredients and beat well.
Pour into greased and floured 8x8 square pan and bake about 40 to 60 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
